Tasting notes The cacao originates from Madagascar, valued worldwide for its unique flavour notes. From the first bite you are met with a lovely acidity and the taste of bright red berry fruit and citrus. AS it melts it transforms into a rich long chocolate finish. The Great Taste Awards judges said: Excellent aroma, and the texture has a perfect snap and very good mouth feel. A pleasant fruity aroma and a great melt. There is bright citrus acidity, balanced by a modicum of bitterness and a good sugar level. There is a good complexity of flavour here. A good, lingering finish. Origin We work with cooperatives certified by Fairtrade including: Acopagro, El Quinacho, Cacvra and Oro Verde in Peru, Fundopo in The Dominican Republic, Cocabo in Panama and Cooperative Premium Cacao Sambirano CPCS in Madagascar for our cacao.
