Natural Lungwort Dried Leaves Cut & Sifted (Pulmonaria Officinalis) | Kosher Certified | Raw, Vegan, Non GMO & Gluten Free | Origin - Albania

Lungwort, also known as lungwort leaf or Pulmonaria officinalis, is a natural plant that has been used around the world for a variety of respiratory ailments, including coughs, colds, bronchial detoxification and catarrhal concerns. Lungwort is found in native damp habitats and coastal areas in Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa. Because it’s very sensitive to environmental toxins, the areas in which it is found are typically unpolluted old forests, and thus, the presence of lungwort is often a good indicator of an ecosystem's health. Lungwort cut & sifted leaves are mostly used as an herbal tea for different health benefits. Simply steep the lungwort in hot water for up to 15 minutes, and you'll produce a bright, fragrant tea with a distinct aroma. Drinking a soothing cup of lungwort tea can also help relieve a number of digestive and gastrointestinal problems including indigestion and diarrhea. Particularly the high content of mucilage polysaccharides and tannins is said to have an expectorant and soothing effect. Lungwort has mild diuretic properties which may help relieve the discomfort of bloating from excess water build-up.
