Sigaretta Ristra Calabrian Chile Heirloom Italian Hot Pepper - Organic

90 Days to Maturity. Certified Organic. These heirloom Italian chile peppers ( Capsicum annuum ) originate from the Calabrian region famous for a diversity of hot peppers. Each use - hot sauces, chile flakes, etc. - was from a different type of pepper. These ones, which we believe fall into the Sigaretta Ristra class, are citrusy and floral with a perfect spicy bite that builds in the pallet. We have been excited to partner with SAGRA Food and Wine in La Crosse, WI to select the perfect chile for their world famous Spicy Ceasar Salad. These peppers shine in their traditional use of preserving them in olive oil. Check the attached picture of the SAGRA recipe card and try it yourself!
