Grandpa B’s Tallow & Yellow Rose Soap

This soap bar is aptly named after my sweet father in law who spent his life raising farm animals, including happy cows, and growing tender fruit in Niagara on the Lake. In an effort to support me and my business,  the yellow roses used were collected for me on Grandpa B’s farm by Grandpa B himself♥️ My first experience working with tallow in soap does not disappoint. As a self-proclaimed plant girly, I was hesitant to try working tallow. I’m not sure I can fully explain why, but I’m happy to say my misgivings were indeed misplaced! Trials for this soap bar far exceeded my expectations and I am thrilled by the results!! The lather in this the bar is ultra creamy and richly sudsy! It is scented with a light blend of essential oils, reminiscent of a spring breeze. No scent of the tallow is there at all! Just a note: 100% grass-fed & grass-finished “suet” tallow is key in any skincare products in order to avoid toxin and oxidant buildup in the tallow. I source my tallow from Wild Meadow Farms in Ontario, where the cows lead happy, stress-free lives grazing and eating only what cows are meant to eat, grass! Always find out where your skincare provider is sourcing their tallow from to ensure it’s purity! To Use: This is an excellent bar for hands and body. Be sure to try this soap in the shower, it lathers nicely on a loofah or bath sponge. Placing your bar on a soap dish that drains water away from the soap will result in a harder, longer lasting bar.
