This minimises the development of histamine in the meat and is helpful for people who are trying to reduce the histamine content of their diet.  To minimise histamine development  It should be kept frozen, thawed quickly and cooked immediately after thawing. Quick cooking (e.g. Pressure cooking) is preferable to slow cooking such as roasting or cooking in a slow cooker.
