Alex's Low-Acid Organic Coffee™ - French Roast Fresh Ground (5lbs)

Do you love coffee but cannot handle the acid? Whether after a meal, when you have heartburn, or simply in the evening before bed, a cup of Alex's Low-Acid Organic Coffee can be warming and satisfying without causing any discomfort. 100% satisfaction guaranteed!! Over 30% of coffee drinkers experience upper gastrointestinal discomfort after coffee. These symptoms can appear as heartburn, reflux, or indigestion. Many assume acidity or pH is to blame, but that is not the real cause. Coffee naturally contains many acids that add to its flavor and aroma. The true irritant is a compound called Chlorogenic Acid, especially CQA 3, 4, and 5. These compounds can occur naturally and increase during drum roasting. Most roasters use drum roasters, where beans come into contact with hot metal. We do things differently. Our patented convection roasting system uses a stream of hot air, so the beans never touch steel. This gentle roasting process ensures an even roast and significantly reduces Chlorogenic Acid levels. The result is a clean, flavorful, and easy-to-drink coffee that is kind to your stomach. Skeptical? That is understandable. There is a lot of confusing information about coffee and acidity. Our approach is supported by the research of Dr. Taka Shibamoto, Distinguished Professor of Environmental Toxicology and Director of the UC Davis Coffee Center. His studies show that high levels of Chlorogenic Acid contribute to bitterness and stomach irritation in coffee.
